About us

The Design 4 Real People Action Group, in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF), has been working over the past few years to support the introduction of user-centred design (UCD) into Design & Technology teaching in schools. This website is a reincarnation of CIEHF’s Ergonomics 4 Schools site and incorporates new material and a 40-page Teacher’s Guide written and designed by Rachel Benedyk and her colleagues in the Design 4 Real People Action Group. We will continue to add more information and illustrations to this site.

The CIEHF is a professional membership body for anyone with a keen interest in this fascinating discipline. Find out more.
